Rebecca Owner and Manager of Dotty Pottery - I previously studied a foundation degree at the Norwich University College of the Arts. I then undertook a creative textile crafts degree at Huddersfield University specialising in surface design, from which I graduated in 2002.
Since this time I have worked in several roles some relating to my degree and some not so much! I have worked as a day services instructor working with adults with learning difficulties, teaching and supporting clients with arts and crafts projects, Adult Education Tutor and Support Assistant, teaching and supporting adults in various art classes, Recruitment and finally working as a Careers Advisor and of course my most challenging role of being a fulltime mum of two children.
Pippa, Owner and Manager of Dotty Pottery - I have always been arty since I was a little girl, enjoying arts and crafts such as decoupage, clay work, scrap booking and lots more always loving art that had a purpose which is one of the reasons I love painting ceramics.
I attended Norwich City college and completed a BTEC National Diploma in Fine Art and achieved a Triple Merit. I then wen onto Art school where I undertook a Visual Studies course. In order to support my studies I went into retail where I learnt a lot of business, retail and customer service skills, working my way up over several years and progressing to managing a concession in House of Fraser for 3 years. This roll helped me learn a lot of the skills I needed to running a small and successful business, which then lead me to taking the plunge with Becky to opening our very own shop!
